@ brandonmer Whoa, seriously that was fascinating! I won't tell you that I killed it, but I don't suggest you come check. I like where we live and I'm pretty sure if that ever happened again Katelyn would never sleep in our house again!

Tarantulas are the best! We get them out by our house all the time. I hope you didn't kill him... :( It wasn't his fault he got lost and found his way into your house. I'm sure he wanted to be there just about as much as you did. Tarantulas are the good spiders. They are on our side! They eat other poisonous spiders and bugs and can be really friendly when you aren't completely terrified of them and threatening to squash them with a shovel or something like that. They do have large fangs though under their mustaches. But a T bite is about as bad as a mild bee sting. Besides that Tarantulas never attack anything larger than half the size of their body. I found one on a trail once and picked him up and carried him home with my bare hands. Mr. T was our pet for some time until I decided he would be happier in his natural habitat. So basically I have a soft spot for these spiders. They are the kind fuzzy giants of the spider world. :) Next time you find one give me a call and I'd be happy to take him into custody. We could use some more spider killing spider at our house!
