Last week we got to go shoot with John and Jasmine and their 2 huge Great Dane dogs. Somehow we seem to attract the funnest, nicest clients and John and Jasmine are no exception. (Yes I’m aware funnest isn’t a word) The dogs presented an interesting challenge but made for some super fun shots. When we got into the tunnel, as soon as I tried the backlit thing the shots turned into Star Wars and I had all these visions of lightsabers and mid-air jumps and the force, but thankfully Katelyn was there to remind me we were shooting engagement pictures. Kudos to her by the way, for being able to hold 2 great danes, help with poses and be a human light stand all at once. She’s gonna make a great mom in about 4 years, according to plan. Surprisingly, a lot of these shots looked great in black and white, which is usually not something we do a lot of, but these look rad. Black and white is cool, someday I want to do a whole wedding in black and white. (add that to the list of things we would give a discount for along with a wedding at sea world)

Yea buddy! He just did this all of a sudden, it was fresh. I was surprised/relieved when I saw that I actually grabbed something from it.

Don’t you see it? LUKE, I AM YOUR FATHAAAAA. Next time I guess. Probably better for a sweet senior photo. Any takers? Maybe I’ll get some more use from those lightsabers from our wedding after all. (yea you read that right… lightsabers from our wedding. Good story there… some other time.)
