Last week was randomly “super senior portrait week” as we literally shot 4 people’s sp’s. You’ve now seen them all EXCEPT the Young brothers. For these, we went to their house out in Hemet and did a wide range of shots with no real plan. First the standard stuff for parents and grandparents, then on to the real pictures: the ones with motorcycles and jumping off things and lots of flashes. The whole family is way into moto-cross and I kinda had some ideas in my head and which involved some very dramatic lighting, a far cry from the all-natural thing I’ve been slipping into a lot lately. Apparently it’s a lot of work to do like jumps and stuff with motorcycles (who knew?) but we were able to do a modified version in the street, which came out great. It was awesome getting to know the Youngs better, they’re a rockin family with RAD boys!
Did I mention I first met the Youngs at the hospital because Chris, their Dad, had been in ANOTHER motocross accident and had collapsed a lung and broken some ribs and stuff? It was hilarious, but that’s another story I suppose.
