Wedding at Temecula Under the Oaks!

June 2nd, 2009 by Zach | 5 Comments

This wedding at Temecula Under the Oaks completed our April madness month (only now to be possibly trumped by JUNE madness month!) David (the groom) is a great friend of mine. I grew up tightly knit with his family. He has two older sisters who are mine and my sister’s age and he is close to my brothers age, so we were a perfect match with their family for childhood friends. We’re still great friends to this day- both his sisters have babies- and now it was David’s turn to tie the knot, leaving my brother, Scott, the only one of the 6 kids left unmarried. (Scott’s only 19, so this is in no way a dis to him) You’ll remember David and Lindsay from their kick butt engagement shoot (of which I threw in a few of my favs) The venue was just incredible. It’s a nice lady that runs it on her property and she only does 1 wedding a month, just to pay for the water bill of all the landscape that she has. It was beautiful- nice and tucked away in the back hills of Temecula. This wedding quite possibly had the most legendary 2 lines that I have ever heard uttered at a wedding…the first of which was from Lindsay, when her mom told her that she would be helping her get her wedding dress on, Lindsay said, “Well then there’s something I need to tell you…I got a new tattoo.” And the second was from Lindsay’s sister, who, during her toast, told her mom that she needed to , “Lay off the wine.” Best moments of a wedding EVER. VOTE for David and Lindsay’s engagement photo down in the contest below! (Still going on, by the way!) Congrats David and Lindsay!

This is my younger brother, Scott. One of David’s groomsmen couldn’t make it to the wedding at the last minute, so they called Scotty in. The tux was a bit too big, but everything worked out in the end!

David’s dad married them and this is his hilarious reaction when Lindsay pulls out her 4 page long vows. I kept this one up on the screen for a few hours and every time we looked at it we’d crack up!

Ouch- that looks like it hurts to me. impressive though!

A cute “pin-up” photo we did for David to have of his bride for when he gets shipped out.

And I’ll leave you with the craziest cake fight ever. Seems like it’s over in the first photo- a light smashing of the cake into each others face and a peaceful kiss…then it just turns ugly!
