In the midst of the wedding chaos, we actually do have a tiny bit of time for other things, like family sessions! The Dengler family contacted us a while ago and were extremely patient with our busy schedule (they had to book a few months in advance.) Well the day finally came and here they are. I have been oh so patiently waiting to blog about this one, because basically, their daughter hated Zach. It was hilarious!! Ruby was under 2 years old and cute as a button. She seemed fine, but as soon as Zach pulled out his big, scary camera she wigged out and wouldn’t let him come near her for the rest of the shoot. In Zach’s defense, Kellen and Emily said she had been doing that to everyone lately. I guess it’s a good thing to be scared of strangers. This photo shoot quickly turned in to a “do anything you possibly can to get Ruby to not cry, smile, look at the camera and let the camera get close enough to take photos” shoot. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. Poor Ruby will probably always have a fear of cameras and not know why.
this is one of zach’s favorites
love this one!

At least you can’t tell she has a camera phobia from these pictures! They’re very sweet.
That little girl is adorable! Love the one of just her with the shallow DOF. What lens was that one with? The bokeh on the leaves looks sweet!
@ Brian: Thanks! I think it was the 35.
35mm f/1.4?
totally, the f/2 one isn’t so great.
