A few weeks ago we did the senior portrait session of Kaitlin. We don’t do these too often, so it’s fun to put on the blog. Kaitlin’s step-mom and dad really wanted something different than your typical senior portrait sessions and particularly wanted very urban/city type shots. As soon as we arrived in San Diego, there was this crazy, heavy fog creeping in over the city. You can see it in the background of all the photos in downtown San Diego. We were scheduled to end in Coronado to do some beach shots, but by the time we got there, Coronado was completely covered in thick fog. It was insane! You
could barely see 50 feet in front of you and you could NOT see the water and on top of that, the sun was completely blocked out, so, no light. Hence, her beach pictures turned in to more dramatic, lit photos. We finished up the shoot by taking some fun, high school themed photos on her football field. Oh ya, and we did photos on a train track. My dad was a paramedic while I was growing up so I am terrified of a lot of things that most people won’t even think of. I will NOT cross the street if the little “walk guy” is not up, I won’t get out of my car if I’m broken down at the side of the road, I stay in the car with my seat belt on…and another biggy is, I will not play around on train tracks, because people get hit by trains all the time. They come really fast and your foot can get stuck in the tracks. So, I let Zach shoot on them, but I stayed off. When the train lights started flashing I freaked out! Zach, being the complete opposite of me (not scared of anything) stayed on the tracks to take pictures of Kaitlin and her entire family running off. I’m pretty sure if I’ve ever had a panic attack, it was then. It made me sick to my stomach for the rest of the shoot! Of course, the big “train” that came barreling through was a tourist trolly going a whopping 15 mph. Another paramedic-ism in me says, “Better safe than sorry.”

Bravo! Great shots here guys! All around one of your best portrait sessions this year. Bravo!
Thanks soooo much again guys you did such an amazing job on Kaitlyn’s photos we love them all!! Oh and by the way the next week we were back at the school at night and they turned the lights off right at 7:00pm, so timing was everything!!
