For any of you out there that dread having your picture taken and slightly despise photographers for putting you through the torture of it, I think you’ll thoroughly enjoy this blog. Ironically enough, Zach is one of those people who hates having their picture taken. But, at this wedding, the tables were turned. At the end of November we shot the wedding of our best friend Luke and his new, darling wife Erica. Luke was the best man in our wedding and Luke asked Zach to be his best man…and photographer. It was a crazy day, especially for Zach, who, when not being photographer, switched in to best man mode. But it was super fun and if the title didn’t give it away, in one of our favorite cities, Portland! Most of the photos are taken at The Nines hotel in downtown Portland and the rest are at the University Chapel. We also had the awesomely talented Tyler Gould, a friend of all of ours- that is a wedding photographer in Portland- assist us that day. (I didn’t include any of his photos for copyright reasons, but he totally rocked it!) A huge thanks to Tyler!! Perhaps the most memorable moment from our trip was when I completely ruined Luke’s honeymoon surprise. He wanted to surprise Erica with the destination of their honeymoon the morning after their wedding…well she was surprised alright, just about 5 days early and by me telling her where she was going! In my defense, I didn’t know it was a secret! Whoops! Congrats to our dear friends Luke and Erica!
