seems like everyone we know is pregnant these days (except us), and the latest baby reveal is my cousin and her husband: ashley and jason edmonds are the proud parents of  a baby GIRL! about 20 of us piled into a tiny room to find out what she was having! a very cool experience. congratulations to the happy parents!

There’s this thing called Glow in the Park that they apparently do every year, basically it’s an air balloon show and movie on a projector. Made for some really cool photos. Afterwards, we went to Gourmet Italia, which is our new favorite place. Definitely worth checking out. All this was on Saturday, the same day I drove out to San Clemente to record with Jadon Lavik. Got some fun picks of his and Stephanie’s kid Laird as well. He’s growing insanely fast, as they all do. He’s very serious, doesn’t smile much but always looks like he’s figuring stuff out. He’s gonna be smart.

All the balloon pics were converted with DXO Optics Pro 5.2. Just when I thought I for sure didn’t want the upgrade they made the noise reduction on this thing insane. I mean, these were all like ISO 1600 shots. There’s still tons of annoying bugs and weird workflow things about it though. C1 still reigns supreme.

It’s not directly photo related, but it’s a really good read for anyone that’s running their own business, which most photographers more or less are. I was especially surprised to see how much spending the 50+ market accounts for and how I don’t really even fall into the youngest age group yet as far as consumer spending goes.
